Serena Williams, “It requires discipline…”

[tweet_box design=”default” float=”none”]You can achieve anything that you set your mind to!  @serenawilliams [/tweet_box]

These are the most effective ways to increase your willpower and give yourself the self-discipline you need to succeed.

The first one is simple:

Start eating healthy foods. Get rid of ANYTHING with processed sugars, take an alcohol break and limit your flour consumption. Add a leafy green vegetable with every single meal.  Then, replace your drinks with Smart Water (or filtered water).

Over the years, I have tried many diets from Atkins to Shakes to Paleo, and the best diet I have ever found that works wonders is The Snack Diet. This was a year long experiment where I documented my food versus energy levels to see what foods work for my body.

Download the book and journal at Snack Diet and let me know your results.

The next two are easy:

Sleep and Exercise. I go to bed early during the week, and if you take a survey of all high achievers, they do too! They make it a habit of being in bed by 9 pm on the weekday and getting up early to get their exercise in. I'm a member of a few personal development groups on Facebook, and every so often someone asks, “What time do you go to bed?” or “What time do you workout?”

90% of the high achievers say they are in bed by 9 pm and workout in the mornings. This is the habit that you should immediately drop into your schedule.

The last two requires you taking small actions for huge results:

    1. I do!! 🙂

I should create a SuccessLive Formula for everyone because we are truly deficient in many areas, but here’s what I recommend:

      1. Find a vitamin that requires (six servings) to get your required daily intake. Those are usually in gummy form. Then, split that up (2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, 2 in the evening).

      2. Then, find a Magnesium, Zinc, Calcium, Vitamin D formula. (1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon).

      3. Then, if you’re having trouble with focusing or afternoon crashes, take two b-12’s at lunch.

That’s it. Usually, #2 is the one most people are deficient in & will give you the biggest gains.

  1. For me changing the diet was the biggest factor in my success. I was lacking in a lot of different minerals that was affecting my mood and brain and my attitude about everything.

    1. Hey Jill!!!

      YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!!

The food you eat definitely impacts EVERYTHING.

I saw this meme on Facebook last year that said – My body kept telling me that I needed to eat more fruits and vegetables but I didn’t listen. I remained tired, fatigued – looking for the answer. Meanwhile, the cure exists: EAT MORE VEGGIES!!!

So now I do two fold that saved my life:

#1) Supplements: I divide my supplements into three. 1/3 in the morning. 1/3 in the lunchtime. 1/3 at dinner. That way – I give my brain the nutrients it needs to think straight.

Make sure you get your daily vitamin. I like one that requires SIX servings so I can easily break it up. Then, add your Magnesium, Calcium, D mix to this throughout the day. This will wake up your brain right now! For extra energy, take a b-12 vitamin in the morning and afternoon. If you need good sleep, take a melatonin gummy at 8 pm.

#2) Add more fruits and veggies to your DAILY diet. Drink more green tea & water during the day.

      That’s it!

Try these two for 30 days, and I guarantee you’ll see instant results.

    1. Honestly, you have to plan your work and work your plan. Plan before they wake up or while they are at school. Work your plan before they wake up or while they are at school.

    1. It’s time to change your life too!!!

I just saw Mel Robbins at the’s Live Event yesterday. She explained the Science behind the 5 Second Rule.

      Watch this video:

      Mel Robbin’s 5 Second Rule

Use The 5 Second Rule to change your thoughts, to break your habits, to get out of bed!! She went through the same “stay in bed” mind choice that you are making; and she really did use the 5 second rule to get out of bed. That’s how she came up with it. Grab the book. Google her name. Watch her videos. Breathe.

    1. 5-4-3-2-1 GO!

      Watch this video:

      Mel Robbin’s 5 Second Rule

This technique is backed by Science and is now a movement that has changed so many lives in such a short time period. You literally shift your thinking from emotional to taking action simply by counting backwards. It definitely works.

Watch the interview; grab her book: The 5 Second Rule!

      She is incredible.

  2. One thing I do is list my to-do list out the night before and then start immediately working on it as soon as I get up. Within a few hours, I have already accomplished HALF my list and my day officially starts at 8 am. Before most people get to work, I am doing number four working my plan. Just my 2cents.

  3. I feel like I’m always working with no reward. It’s a weird 12 hour days with no breaks or celebrations. How do you keep that going?

    1. Yup! That’s a large part of it. I met a guy yesterday who dropped 80 pounds this year just by cutting out sugar. Most people aren’t aware of where the sugar is…. cokes, candy, sweets, donuts, cakes, FRENCH FRIES, and MOST drinks sold in stores. Please please become aware!
